EXPRESSIVE ARTS THERAPY WITH TEENAGERS

A safe and supportive place to explore and process difficult emotions and experiences.
Expressive arts therapy offers teenagers a safe and engaging way to explore their thoughts, feelings and emotions during a time of significant change and identity development. During the teenage years emotions can run high and words can feel difficult or overwhelming. This is when arts therapy can help.

Arts therapy can help with a range of complex issues including, school refusal, bullying, relationship troubles, anxiety, depression, low self-esteem, body image, self-identity, behaviour, trauma, domestic violence and more.
Through creative processes such as drawing, painting, crafting, photography, movie making and sculpting, young people can be supported to express complex feelings, build self-awareness, increase confidence and develop healthier coping strategies. Arts therapy can also support emotional regulation, reduce anxiety and stress, and strengthen resilience.
